A hands-on cohort for CTAN members, led by Sally Higgs. Four live sessions. One practical output each time. No slides. No webinars.
Applications close June 19. Cohort starts June 30 / July 1.
This beta is for CTAN members. On the CTAN AI Feedback dashboard, 88% of you placed yourselves at low or no AI maturity. That group is who we built it for. No experience assumed, no jargon, and no being talked down to.
Mistakes are part of it. We use AI's wrong turns and hallucinations as teaching moments, out in the open.
Built around your job and your day, not a generic AI curriculum.
You spend most of the hour building, not watching someone else present.
You bring the thinking. AI gives it structure.
You learn one tool well instead of dabbling in three.
Sally shows her own example, then you build your version in the room.
You leave with something you made, in your own context, that you'll use.
You learn to prompt by doing it across four tools, never as a theory lesson.
You can't put real company data into a public AI tool on a personal plan, so we don't. The sessions work on structure, writing, synthesis and frameworks. Your confidential information stays out of the room.
An infographic version of your travel policy, a video of how to set up a profile, and other onboarding visuals. The sort of thing agencies used to charge thousands for.
Your own prompt templates. You use AI to build them, then run past meeting transcripts through to see how your communication actually comes across.
An RFP framework and template: question sets, a weighting matrix, a scoring rubric. AI interviews you about what good looks like, then structures it from your answers. No rates, no contracted terms.
An SOP for a process you know inside out but have never written down. AI interviews you, then drafts it into something you can hand over.
The cohort is self-selecting. A short application and a personal Claude or ChatGPT plan ($20/month) are the only filters, and both help. We want committed applicants.
people per group. Two time zones keep each room small enough that everyone gets to share.
The application and the $20 plan are the only filters. Both just check that you're serious.
A short form, five minutes at most.
Then every other week, one hour each.
Sessions are recorded so you can catch up.
We picked times that dodge the 11am to 1pm ET window, when GBTA committees, global team meetings and industry webinars all pile up.
Tell us about you and the one thing you'd most like AI to take off your plate. We read every application.
We'll ask for your feedback, refine the program, and run it again for different levels. The most engaged members become AI Champions, helping deliver future cohorts and adding a real skill to their own CV.
